This entire tour is flown with our magnificently restored Douglas DC-6B historic passenger liner.

Day 1

Depart from Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, to the Fish River Canyon. Enjoy un-spoilt vistas of the world’s second largest canyon. Take a trip down into the canyon with an experienced field guide and enjoy an open air picnic on the banks of the Fish River. Then work your way back to your luxury accommodation and enjoy a sun downer on the rim of the canyon, before enjoying your first taste of local cuisine.

Day 2

Leave the Fish River Canyon heading for the prehistoric dune landscape of Sossusvlei. You will experience the unique history of the plant and animal life of this area in the company of our experienced guides. Enjoy a delicious meal in the desert, where you will feel as though you can pluck the stars from the sky before spending the night at the elegant Sossusvlei Lodge.

Day 3

We depart for the picturesque coastal town of Swakopmund, where we will stroll through the streets, viewing the historic buildings. This is followed by a visit to the museum and crystal gallery where the world’s largest crystal cluster is on display. Dinner will allow you to sample our West Coast cuisine, not only seafood, followed by a night at a luxury hotel.

Day 4

We will board a bus to scenic Walvis Bay, the largest port in Namibia, which is just 30 minutes away. There we will embark on a cruise of the bay area and view dolphins and other marine life while sipping champagne. This is followed by a visit to the Walvis Bay lagoon and estuary to view the large flocks of flamingos. Thereafter we return to Swakopmund to be treated to another culinary feast at a famous local restaurant, before returning to the hotel.

Day 5

Today we travel towards a totally different scenic experience. We will land in close proximity to the Etosha Pan wildlife park where you will have the opportunity to experience Namibia’s wildlife at close quarters, followed by a night at a luxury lodge.

Day 6

We depart for the majestic Victoria Falls on the border between Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Here we will be accommodated at a luxury hotel within walking distance of this spectacular waterfall, which is a World Heritage Site. Enjoy drinks on a platform on the Zambezi River, before embarking on an unforgettable river cruise to whet the appetite before dinner.

Day 7

You will return to Windhoek a changed and more relaxed person, and be presented with a personalized certificate verifying the fact that you have undertaken this unforgettable tour in the world’s only remaining passenger carrying DC-6B.
